Haha, the Premiership season starts tomorrow, but us hardened league one fans are already two games in. And, apparently, it’s not called the Premiership anymore?! I only found this out the other day, but apparently it’s been that way for a while now.
Seriously, though, why bother changing it?! Just so it sounds less like the championship?! I would say we should start calling the Championship the Champions League, but there is an obvious flaw in that arguement.
So, instead, here’s what I propose, why don’t we just stick to Divisions One, Two, Three and Four?! IT’S PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT DIVISION ONE WOULD BE THE PREMIER LEAGUE, SO WHY WOULD IT BE NECESSARY TO NAME IT AS SUCH. THIS IS MADNESS!!
Anyway, I really don’t care much. It just confuses me slightly. I grew up with the Premiership, so it shouldn’t, but I’m easily confused. I love league one, by the way, Saints are playing Huddersfield tomorrow, good times!!
